Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
